Planning
Process
There are 6 steps to our planning
process in helping you achieve your financial goals and dreams.
It’s
recommended that you follow these steps in the order given and you
allow enough
time to see each step through.

Step 1:
Establish Financial Goals
Setting goals is essential to
creating
a rewarding financial plan but very few people actually set clearly
defined
goals. Nobody plans to fail. People fail to plan.
In order to achieve any goal you must first create a vision in your
mind’s
eye. While we are in your home we help you transfer
what’s in your mind
onto paper. There’s something magical that happens
when a pen touches the
paper. Your wish becomes a goal and your dream becomes your
reality.
By having us as your planner we create a new perspective in your
approach. We use our expertise and experience to ask
questions that you
may have never thought of before. We help you realize the
possibilities
in your future whether 5, 10, 20 or even 30 years down the road.
Establishing clearly defined goals for most people is challenging
without the
help of a planner walking them through the process. Planners
are often
aware of the obstacles that lie ahead because they’ve
“been there before” with
other clients. This makes establishing your goals much easier
when you
have someone who can hypothetically speaking “see the
future."

Step 2:
Gather Relevant Data
It’s very important to us that we make sound financial
recommendations based on
your unique situation. They only way we can do that is by
asking plenty
of questions and keeping track of your priorities in an organized
manner.
We record this important information on financial worksheets and that
gives us
a snapshot of where you are today and where you’d like to be
in the
future.
To be accurate with our recommendations you need to provide the
following:
 |
Summary of Insurance
Protection |
 |
Inventory of Assets and
Liabilities |
 |
Investment
Holdings and Values |
 |
List of Annual Income and
Expenses |

Step 3:
Analyze the Data
After we collect the information needed to assess your current
situation we
analyze the data to begin developing a financial plan that’s
customized to your
unique and individualized needs.
Our main objective is to determine
where you stand today in relation to the goals you set in the first
meeting.

Step 4:
Develop a Plan for Achieving Your Goals
We calculate the gap between where you are today and where
you’d like to be in
the future. Assuming your goals are realistic and attainable
we develop a
plan to get you to where you’re trying to go faster and with
fewer
obstacles.
We are like the lighthouse that guides the ships at night when
it’s too dark to
see. Our recommendations can include various financial
products depending
on your liabilities, time horizon and personal preferences.

Step 5:
Implementing the Plan
You begin implementing the plan when you make the decision to approve
our
recommendations.
The plan may involve: purchasing mortgage protection, purchasing
various kinds
of life insurance, transferring financial assets to more suitable
vehicles,
working with an attorney to design wills and trusts, reducing debt with
smart
leverage and more. We help our clients overcome their #1
obstacle to
achieving their goals…
PROCRASTINATION
The faster you begin implementing your plan the faster you
begin marching
in the direction of your dreams. We help to ensure that you
put the plan
into action over a reasonable time frame and schedule.

Step 6:
Monitor the Plan
As the wind blows a sail boat
drifts
from its course as you too will drift as the wind of life
blows. We are
committed to keeping you on track with your financial goals.
We highly
recommend that we meet with you at a minimum of once per year to review
your
plan and keep up with the changes in the financial world.
In our annual meetings we review your life changes, insurance
protection plans
and retirement income plans. We take into consideration the
latest
changes in economic and tax conditions. By investing just a
couple hours
per year you stay on the track to achieving your dreams.
At Family
Protection Group we are
committed to motivating you every step of the way to ensure that you
meet your
goals.
