Who do you know that recently bought a home?

Buying a home for most people is the largest financial transaction a person will face in their life.  It comes with the responsibility of paying the mortgage for as long as 40 years.  Life is uncertain and has many surprises along the way. 

Unfortunately the banks who lend us money are not lenient during times of surprise.  An unplanned death or disability to a member of the house hold can hinder the family’s ability to pay their mortgage and stay in their home.  Without mortgage protection the surviving family members are forced to sell their home or be foreclosed. 

Who do you know that would come to live with you if they didn’t have mortgage protection during time of hardship?
